INTO NATIONAL CABLE TELEVISION SPOTLIGHT
Paint Booth Technologies’ Private Label Colmet Paint Boothto Shine in Two New Cable Automotive Shows
EUREKA, MO., May 3, 2007 – Eureka-based Paint Booth Technologies will
make its national cable television debut in coming months by having its Colmet private label paint booth used in two new automotive shows.
One booth will be used in a Comedy Central half-hour series called “American Body Shop,” a lighthearted parody centering on the world of car maintenance, bodywork and the eccentric people who toil in the field. The show, which premiers this summer, will be similar in nature to the network’s hit series “Reno 911.”
The other booth will be used in a reality cable television show on A&E starring Jim Defew, a Benton, Ky., body shop owner known worldwide for his talent custom painting autos, street rods, hot rods, race cars and Choppers. Defew also will use the booth in a DVD set he is producing called “The Art of Painting” and his shop will become a Dupont Training Center.
“Both of the shows’ producers found us on the Internet and wanted to use our Colmet paint booths in their series,” said Jody Burkeen, owner of Paint Booth Technologies. “We were ecstatic to get the calls and so honored to have our product featured on these national cable television shows, we decided to donate and install both booths.”
“American Body Shop” is set to premier this summer with 10 episodes. The release of Jim Defew’s reality show focusing on the life and times of a custom painter and his DVD set has not been determined.
